East Hampton Shed is pleased to announce Trudy & Russell, a two-person exhibition by Trudy Benson & Russell Tyler.
Trudy Benson (b. 1985 Richmond, VA) lives and works in New York.
Benson graduated with a MFA from Pratt in 2010. Her work has been the subject of solo and two-person exhibitions at Horton Gallery, New York; Freight + Volume, New York; and Lisa Cooley, New York. She has been included in group shows at The Hole, New York; Saatchi Gallery, London; Johannes Vogt Gallery, New York; Halsey McKay, East Hampton; and New Britain Museum of Art, New Britain. Forthcoming exhibitions include Retrospective Gallery, Hudson; and Cabinet Space, Berlin. Her exhibitions have been reviewed by the New York Times, Time Out New York, and ArtFCity.
Russell Tyler (b. 1981 Summertown, TN) lives and works in New York
Tyler graduated with a MFA from Preatt in 2010. His work has been the subject of solo and two-person exhibitions at Denny Gallery, New York; DCKT, New York; Alon Segev Gallery, Tel Aviv; Ebersmore Gallery, Chicago; and Freight + Volume, New York. Group shows include Thierry Goldberg Gallery, New York; Paris London Hong Kong, Chicago; Ana Cristea Gallery, New York; Galerie Polad-Hardouin, Paris; and Appels Gallery, Amsterdam. Forthcoming exhibitions two-person exhibitions include Retrospective Gallery, Hudson; and Anonymous Gallery, Mexico City. Tyler's work has been the subject of reviews in the Brooklyn Rail, NY Arts Magazine, Hyperallergic, Le Monde, Art In America, and SFAQ.
